NGO demands College in Darhal 12/29/2009 12:01:41 AM Early Times Report Darhal, Dec 28- On its Annual Day function, The Attitude Change International (ACI), a non governmental organization demanded Government Degree College in Darhal Malkan. NGO has urged the government to open a Degree College in the area which is most neglected part of the state. Opening of the college here will boost the literary rate especially female education and also reduce the burden on Degree College Rajouri, said Dr. M. Ashaq Raza, President of the organization. On this occasion a musharia was also held which was presided over by Rashid Qamar, a noted poet of the state. Various poets of the area read out their poetry. Those who took part in the Mushaira included Pervaiz Malik, Zakir Khaki, Majid Malik, Ashaq Raza, Zahid Malik and Shafiq Aaarish. Attitude Change International, a small organization with a global mission of preaching peace, non-violence, tolerance and co-existence in the world, is actively engaged in the development and peace works. During the past one year the organization has organized a series of thematic programs including interschool quiz, essay, painting, debate, Na’at and speech competitions, workshops, seminars, a science exhibition as well as a month-long free coaching of Mathematics for children studying in school government schools |
